Phyllis Leck, The Village Weaver
Round Pond, Maine

Phyllis

Phyllis has been interested in weaving and fabric construction since she was a Girl Scout. This interest was furthered when, in high school, she had an art teacher who had majored in fiber arts.

She has been working at her craft and selling her work since the late 1970's. Her interest is especially focused on early American textiles. Among her products are curtains, table linens, placemats and wool blankets, throws, and bedspreads. Her husband, Andrew, is a blacksmith (the Scottish Lion Blacksmith) and included in his product line of functional home accessories are hand-wrought curtain rods and curtain hardware which can be used with Phyllis's hand-loomed curtains.

Phyllis has been featured in Early American Home, Colonial Home, Country Home, and Country Living magazines as well as at fine crafts shows in the eastern United States.
