APPALACHIAN SAMPLER FESTIVALS are held (rain or shine) in Ellijay, Georgia on the third weekend monthly April through September. Samplers are held at the Plum Nelly Campground (across from the Panorama Farm Market on four lane Highway 515 (three miles south of Ellijay at mile marker 6.5)

SAMPLERS offer juried arts and crafts, antiques, food, mountain and gospel music, clogging, and storytelling all in one place so that folks can "sample" some of what they look for when they visit the mountains.

SAMPLERS provide a regular showcase for vendors and entertainers while creating frequent "third weekend excuses" for folks to come to the north Georgia mountains in addition to leaf season.

Quality artisans, antique dealers, entertainers, nonprofits, and area businesses are invited to participate and preference for acceptance is given to folks in the tristate (GA, TN, NC) area and/or and emphasis on Appalachian heritage.

You are invited to bring your lawn chairs, family, and friends to take time out to relax, shop leisurely for special gifts, and enjoy mountain style entertainment. Festival hours are Saturdays 10 - 6 and Sundays 12 - 5. Admission is only two dollars (children under 12 are free). Gate proceeds benefit entertainers with 3% set aside for a local Appalachian Culture Scholarship Fund.

For exhibitor, entertainer, and/or general information, call Carlie Hammond at 706-492-3829 or write: SAMPLERS, Post Office Box 1468, Blue Ridge, Georgia, 30513.
